Intro to Figure Skating

A rewarding start to Figure Skating!

Our Intro to Figure Skating program is a non-competitive, badge-level program designed to be the next step in a skater's journey. We build on general skating proficiency while introducing basic figure skating techniques. This class provides a strong foundation for skaters wanting to continue with either competitive or non-competitive figure skating paths.

We put a particular emphasis on:

  • Figure Skating Techniques: Beginning edges, basic spirals, and turning skills.
  • Control & Grace: Developing fluid movement and precision.

Who Should Join?
Participants must have completed our Learn to Skate class or show progress with all skills listed in the pre-requisites below. This program is open to skaters age 7 and up. Children under the age of 7 may be permitted if they have completed our Learn to Skate class or with demonstrated progress in another skating program. Any skaters who do not meet these pre-requisites will be moved to the Learn to Skate class at the discretion of our coaching team. Please contact us to discuss class requirements if you are unsure about your skater's eligibility. You may be asked to show a progress card or report card from another skating program.
