Program Information
This program is dedicated to building
explosive speed and efficiency without the pressure of competition. It is designed for skaters who love the challenge of the sport and want to refine their power in a non-equipment atmosphere.
Skaters in this program will work through Power Skating specific badge levels, focusing on the following:
- Power and Drive: Strengthening balance, flexibility, and posture to maximize the force behind every push.
- Advanced Edge Work: Mastering deep edges and control for high-speed transitions and tight pivots.
- Acceleration and Agility: Focused development of starts, stops, and lateral movements to increase on-ice responsiveness.
- Stamina and Flow: Improving stride efficiency to help skaters maintain high performance throughout their entire session.
For more information about the skills that are covered in this class, and how skaters are evaluated, visit our Assessments & Evaluations page.
